A North Country Christmas performs at the Mountain View on Monday, December 2nd and Wednesday, December 3rd at 7 PM, and Thursday, December 4th at 2 PM. A North Country Christmas is conceived by Weathervane Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini and written by Kelly Strandemo.
“Nothing says Holidays like coming home and spending time with family,” says Paulini. “For many of our artists, the North Country has become a home and this company is a family. In celebrating our second year of holiday programming, this tuneful musical revue was the perfect way to celebrate the season with our community.”
As a playwright, Strandemo’s Weathervane credits include last season’s award-winning Primary and 2020’s The Congresswomen. Also a member of the cast of A North Country Christmas, Strandemo’s notable Weathervane acting credits include Heidi (What the Constitution Means to Me) and Genie Klein (Beautiful).
Joining Strandemo in the cast of A North Country Christmas are New Hampshire Theatre Alliance Award-winning actors Jorge Donoso and Marisa Kirby. Donoso’s memorable Weathervane roles range from Pippin (Pippin) to Paul (A Chorus Line). The current leading lady of the Weathervane stage, Kirby’s credits include iconic characters like Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors) and Adelaide (Guys and Dolls).

The additional creative team includes Jeremy Baldauf (sound and lighting design), Hannah Showalter (production associate), and Rien Schlecht (costume and production design).
